Many of you have reached out to us saying that you're dying to come to WistiaFest, our video marketing conference this May, but just can't afford the ticket. We hear you! Just because you work for a non-profit, or perhaps don't have the biggest budget, we don't think that should prevent you from learning with us in May. MailChimp to the rescue!
The folks at Mailchimp have proven themselves a generous and community-minded bunch yet again: they're sponsoring a few lucky attendees for WistiaFest.
We'd previously decided to forgo "traditional" sponsorships, since we want to cultivate an environment where everyone feels comfortable and no one feels pressured to promote anything. At the same time, we have a lot of "friend companies" that hoped to get involved and have a mindset similar to ours—that more inclusion is always a good thing!
MailChimp is one such company that offered to step up and help a few individuals come to WistiaFest to learn and to hone their crafts as marketers and videographers. So they're offering sponsorships to ten WistiaFest attendees!
We're really excited to choose these ten winners ourselves, and we want to make it a fun challenge! For a chance to snag a MailChimp-sponsored ticket, make a video that includes:
- A bit about yourself
- What you're doing with video
- What you're most excited about for WistiaFest
- And finally, a quick thank you to MailChimp
Submit your video in a comment in this Community thread.
You have until Friday, April 25th to submit your video. We'll announce the winners at the beginning of May. We'd love to give you a virtual high five when you're done with your submission, so feel free to tweet us @wistia and @MailChimp using #wistiafest!
If you or your company is interested in sponsoring a few WistiaFest attendees, we'd love to hear about it! Please email Kristen at email@example.com.
Oh, and just to clarify, MailChimp is sponsoring the tickets themselves, but attendees will be responsible for getting themselves to Boston and finding a place to crash. We'd offer you our digs here at Wistia, but the floor isn't very comfortable :)
