Soapbox Activity & Alerts

All you need to know about how Soapbox Activity & Alerts work

After you’ve sent your Soapbox to be viewed by someone you’ll have some activity on that video in no time! Soapbox now gives you the ability to see specific types of activities taken on on your Soapbox creations.

Note: Activity & Alerts is a Pro-only feature so to access it, you’ll have to have a Soapbox Pro subscription! You can learn more about Soapbox Pro on our help page about Soapbox Pro.

Activity Types

Currently two activities in Soapbox are tracked and displayed within your Soapbox account:

  1. Views
  2. Call-to-Action Clicks

Inside your activity feed you’ll see a few possible states for sessions in your Activity Feed. You can have views for videos without a Call-to-Action at the end, views on videos where you have a CTA at the end but it was not clicked, and views on videos where the CTA was clicked. Here’s a look into each of those:

You’ll see the video’s thumbnail, its title, the percentage of the video watched during that session (rounded down to the nearest 25%), and the CTA status (whether it exists, and if it was clicked).

Push notifications

You can also enable push notifications for activity in your Soapbox account. Either from your Activity Feed or your Account Settings you can enable push notifications for views of your Soapbox videos.

When you enable push notifications, views on your videos will look something like this on Mac OS X when you’re using Chrome:

Most versions of Safari do not support these notifications, but future versions may. Your experience with different browsers and notifications will vary based on the specifics for how their native notifications work, so keep that in mind!

If you decide that you don’t want desktop notifications anymore, the option to disable them is found in your Account Settings. You can re-enable them at any time.
