Customizing an Audio Episode
How to customize an audio episode.
In this article, we’ll cover how to customize an individual audio episode in your Channel. This is great to do if you’d like to share a specific episode separately, or if there are additional details that you’d like to add. To customize a video episode, head on over here to learn more!
Customizing an Audio Episode
There are a number of options for customizing an audio episode. You can change the player color, upload an image, set Share options, add chapters, and order transcripts!
To do so, click into the tab of the feature you’d like to customize. Just be sure you hit the save button to apply any changes you’ve made before moving on to a new section.
Appearance
In the Appearance tab of the Customize panel, you can set the player color for your episode.
Image
If you’d like to add a little ~pizzazz~ to your episode, or you’ve got some cool cover art that you want to showcase, you can add an image in the Customize panel. If things change, you can always remove the current image and/or upload a new one.
Chapters
You might have a longer episode with some important sections that you want to highlight, or maybe you’d like your viewers to be able to hop around and discover different parts of your episode. If so, adding Chapters is a great way to accomplish this!
Once you’ve saved your chapters by clicking the button in the upper right-hand corner, you can click the hamburger menu in the upper right corner of the player and then select Chapters, which will bring up the navigable chapters list.
Transcripts
There are two different options to add a transcript to your episode. You can either upload your own .txt file, or order a transcript through Wistia.
If you select to order transcripts, there are three options:
- Professional Human-Generated transcripts for $2.50/minute
- These can also be completed in one business day for $4/minute
- Automated transcripts for $0.25/minute
If your episode has a transcript, this will be a tab that appears on your episode’s popover in your Channel.
