Diversity, Equity,
& Inclusion at Wistia
We’re committed to embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) into everything we do at Wistia, making sure everyone is respected, treated equally, and celebrated for who they are—no matter what. We’re super excited about our ongoing work to make Wistia a more fair and equitable place to work.
What we’re doing
To foster an environment where everyone can bring their fullest selves to Wistia every day, we've put an organization-wide focus on DE&I. After bringing in external experts in 2018, we took what we learned and created our own cross-functional DE&I-focused group to push things further. By placing DE&I alongside our other company goals and objectives, we’re setting ourselves up for long-term learning and improvement.
The pillars of our plan
From our hiring processes and how we collaborate to how we build our product, we’re committed to approaching everything we do through a DE&I lens. These three pillars below outline our vision for the future.
Building the Team
Our team reflects the diversity of our community at every level, and we have fair and inclusive hiring practices. Growth opportunities are equitably distributed and recognized throughout the company and it’s clear that all perspectives are welcomed.
Working Together
We approach every task and interaction with an openness to learn and deep respect for our peers. We’ve built up strong anti-racism and anti-bias muscles and systems and we have a Code of Conduct in place to hold our team accountable.
Creating Social Impact
Our product, website, and content are inclusive and accessible. We amplify diverse voices and perspectives. We’re transparent and openly share our diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism work.
