Hi, this is our friend Turnstile. You might have met before, but Turnstile has really … changed, so you might not have recognized her right away. Turnstile is still an email capture tool, but over the last few months, she’s become a full-on lead generation machine. Maybe she studied abroad or something.
Jokes aside, we’ve made some big changes to Turnstile. Previously, Turnstile was an email gate that could only be placed before your video played. Now, we’ve done a full rehaul of Turnstile, with more usage options and powerful integrations, right in the SuperEmbed Builder.
Video is always the most active and engaging content, but it hasn’t been linked directly to conversion. A post-roll call-to-action is close, but it’s still a bit fuzzy. What’s so great about the new Turnstile?
Integrate Turnstile with your favorite marketing tools
Link Turnstile directly to your favorite email marketing and marketing automation tools. We’re super excited to get this out the door, as it’s been one of the most popular feature requests we’ve received.
You can autotrigger drip campaigns if you’re using a tool like Hubspot or Pardot. Or, if you’re using a tool like MailChimp or Aweber, you can set up email autoresponders. Currently, we support these providers:
Help us continue to build valuable integrations by letting us know what other marketing tools you use (including whether your favorite email provider is on this list!) by filling out this survey!
Instead of only being able to see email addresses in your Wistia stats, you can now add people directly to your email lists so you can market to them on an ongoing basis. There’s no longer any work between collecting emails via video and funneling them into the other tools you’re using.
Use Turnstile anywhere in your video
Set up an email collector before, after, or even in the middle of your video. Create a mandatory gate up front, give an introduction and then add a gate, or make the email collection purely optional at the end of the video. You can also offer users the option to skip the email collector. Bonus: it even works on iPhones and iPads!
Which option should you use?
How can you maximize your efforts with Turnstile? Before, during or after? Optional or mandatory? We share our experience with Turnstile and the implications of each option in this blog post.
