While a lot of companies want their video to spread like wildfire, some are very concerned about outsiders re-purposing their content for unapproved activities. One of the most common ways that this nefarious “borrowing” of content happens is by copying the embed code and placing it somewhere else on the web.
To help solve this problem, we’ve introduced domain restrictions for embedded video. Now, you can lock your video embeds so that they will only display on websites you want them to display on. If someone copies the embed code and pastes it on their own website without your permission, it will just display a blank area where the video would normally be displayed.
