Wistia’s integration with Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is a marketing and analytics platform that helps you understand how visitors interact with your website. When you integrate Wistia with GA4, Wistia will send video interaction data to GA4 and you’ll get much deeper insights into how the videos on your site are performing. You’ll get to see how often visitors play your videos, how much of each video they’ve watched, whether they finished the video, and if they entered their email or clicked a link in the video.

Automatically integrated

Wistia will start sending tracking events to your Google Analytics 4 account as soon as you set up the integration. If GA4 is already running on your site, you can start tracking your visitors’ viewing behavior right away. Got multiple videos on a single page? No problem! Each video will get its own set of analytics.

Data you can work with

GA4 is great because its event-based approach allows you to get into the nitty-gritty. It comes ready with loads of site-visitor data points you can use to make smart decisions. And Wistia’s GA4 events provide even more insight by showing how visitors are interacting with your videos. We’ll send an event when a visitor presses the play button and another one when they watch 25, 50, 75, or 100 percent of the video. Events will also fire when your visitor submits their email via Turnstile or clicks a link in your video.
