Brendan Schwartz, CTO and co-founder of Wistia, says helping you use video across all your applications to power your business is what makes Wistia successful. Since integrating with HubSpot, Marketo, and Pardot, Wistia is excited to make these integrations and new ones more powerful. Here’s new and upcoming Wistia product for 2017.
With the HubSpot and Marketo integration, Wistia has added native form support into its customization so you can collect custom information at any point in your video. Wistia rebuilt the HubSpot integration entirely from scratch using HubSpot’s new timeline application programming interface. Additionally, Wistia partnered with Zendesk to bring the power of video into support.
For developers, Wistia launched their new API, Wistia API v2, with a response time 3.7x faster than before. Looking at distributions of users and their videos across Wistia, Schwartz presents better ways to manage content with “Favorites” and improvements to Wistia’s search page. Recently, they launched an iOS app, which allows you to manage your Wistia account on-the-go, upload, record, and see analytics right from your phone.
At WistiaFest 2016, Schwartz announced Vulcan. Since last year, they’ve brought Vulcan to mobile and increased viewer experience through improved bandwidth detection, a new adaptive bitrate controller, and other small adjustments.
Schwartz offers insight into Wistia prototypes you may see in the future like silent autoplay for your videos, search through transcript overlay, improved customization through Wistia on your own site, and more. He and his co-founder saved the best for last with their announcement of Soapbox. Their new video creation tool, which records your screen and webcam simultaneously, is a Chrome extension you can install in one click and sign in with Google.
