In typical Wistia fashion, we’re kicking off the new year with a bit more than just confetti. So buckle up, grab your favorite snack, and let’s recap the magic that unfolded at Wistia in January!

Improved content management experience

Fresh year, fresh vibes, and guess what? We’ve given content management a little makeover to kick-start your 2024. Here’s the rundown:

A new name for Projects: Thanks to your valuable feedback, we’re introducing a change: Projects are now called folders. It’s not just a name change; it’s also about making content management smoother and more intuitive. Organize your content your way with folders.

Bulk player color changes: Itchin’ for a fresh start? We’ve got your back with an easy way to give a group of videos a makeover in one fell swoop. Pick your favorite color, hit apply, and ta-da. You’ve given your videos a whole new vibe!

Filter by origin: Navigating your video and audio files just got easier. Now you can filter your content by its origin — live events, the recorder, or the editor — in search results and via the content library. Because in 2024, simplicity is the name of the game.

Team collaboration, upgraded: Your collaborators can now request to become Wistia users right from where they leave comments. Plus, we’ve sprinkled in some fun with emoji reaction buttons for logged-in users — because who can resist a good emoji party? With these emojis (plus, celebrate, thumbs up, thumbs down, and laughing face), you can agree, approve, or celebrate with just a click!

Slick new updates to Wistia Live

Wistia Live got a glow-up, too! Check out what’s new:

Polls for live events: Hosts and panelists, get ready for some big news: You can now create, edit, and launch polls for your live events. Create one before or even during the event, and then watch the responses roll in.

Muting panelists: Dog barking? Noisy snacking? Now hosts can mute panelists with the click of a button — because every live event needs a bit of backstage control.

Seamless integration with Pardot and Marketo: Pardot and Marketo users, this one’s for you! If you’ve got existing Pardot or Marketo forms, you can use them for your Wistia Live event registrations. You’ll not only have more control over your registration forms, but you’ll also get to have your registrants’ information automatically passed into your marketing automation platform. (P.S. This functionality works for our HubSpot users too!)

We’ve said “see ya later” to the Studio in the left-hand nav. But breathe easy, video creators, because you can still record and edit videos in Wistia. It’s just easier now. Check out our help center for all the deets.

Google Analytics 4 integration improvements

Hold onto your analytics hats because we’ve cranked up the Google Analytics 4 (GA4) integration! Now, you can effortlessly send video data to multiple web streams using your existing Google Analytics setups.
