Unlike the June gloom that’s settling in over our office in Cambridge, MA, our product updates this month are pipin’ hot. From free background music to transcription tweaks, these updates are ready to help your business thrive with video. Let’s take a look at what’s hot off the sidewalk!

Background music powered by Smart Tracks

First up: royalty-free, royally helpful background music. With Wistia’s built-in video editor, you can easily add background music to your business videos. The best part? Thanks to a nifty technology we’ve coined Smart Tracks, the music you choose will automatically match the length of your video.

We know sourcing and editing music can be a pain. That’s why we’re so excited about this update. Whether you’re creating an engaging product walkthrough or a think piece for LinkedIn, we’ve curated our tracks to help you set the right mood.

This new feature is available with all our new plans. So go ahead, open up the editor and crank up the volume.

More streamlined post-live event workflow

We know it’s important to see how your attendees engage with your webinars and live events. That’s why Wistia Live registration forms now seamlessly send your event attendee data to Pardot, our newest marketing automation integration partner. And we haven’t forgotten our friends using HubSpot and Marketo — we’ve got you covered, too. Check out the deets.

Easier ways to upload and edit transcripts and captions

Does a recurring typo in your transcripts grind your gears? Now you can add special terms like your product, company, name, or anything else that’s tricky to spell to your keyword list. Once you’ve added them, those keywords appear accurately in your transcripts and captions. That’s one fewer edit to worry about.

And we have a few more updates up our sleeves. If you’ve got a backlog of caption files to upload, now you can upload multiple files at once, saving you tons of time. We’ve also made it even easier to edit your transcripts and captions. Simply select the part you want to edit and voila. All changes are automatically applied across both.

Improved content library management

Manage your extensive content libraries like a pro with our new Account Media Export. You can now get a CSV of all your media and their metadata (including hashed_id, creation date, total plays, and more) on a weekly, monthly, or one-time basis.

But wait, there’s more! Before you archive a piece of media, you can now see all the locations where it’s embedded. That way, you’ll know how archiving your media will impact your audience and your stats.

We’ve also made it easier than ever to find what you’re looking for. Our revamped global search filters let you whittle down your results by the upload date, tags, archived status, and even the type of media.

Logo resizer

Last, but not least, Wistia now allows you to adjust the size of your uploaded logo with an easy-to-use slider in the Customize panel. Perfectly fit your brand image into your videos without breaking a sweat!
