We built Turnstile, our email collector tool, to help you stay in touch with your audience. As of today, you can get more personal with Turnstile by collecting names alongside those email addresses!
One of the challenges of video marketing, and marketing in general, is staying in touch with the people who like what you're producing. It's all too easy to watch a video, leave the website, and never return again. It's just as easy, as a marketer, to forget that your audience is comprised of lots of individuals, rather than one faceless blob.
Turnstile allows you to add an email collector at the beginning, middle, or end of your video, so you can gate your content or collect contact information after a viewer is done watching.
You can also use Turnstile as a lead generation tool, with plenty of integrations with your favorite marketing automation and email marketing software (listed below). Forget how to set up integrations, or want to add a new one? Our documentation can help! Want to request an integration with a different provider? Fill out this form!
What's in a name?
Turnstile is a great way to collect emails, but what if you want to know a little bit more about those audience members? We've received lots of requests to add a first and last name field to Turnstile, so we started looking into the benefits. When Ryan joined the engineering team, he was excited to tackle this challenge, so off we went!
To add an email collector to a video, select
Video Actions, then
Customize, and select
Turnstile. From there, you can decide when the collector should appear, customize the gate text, and select options related to your email provider if you've connected with one.
What if I want to collect more information?
In the name of ease-of-use, we've limited Turnstile's fields to the ones most commonly used. The less information someone has to provide, the easier it is for them to give you the information that matters! However, you can always use a custom HTML form in a post-roll call to action to collect more data.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes! How do you use video to get personal with your audience and generate leads?
