We Went Live: What’s New at Wistia

So the cat’s finally out of the bag. On October 19, 2022 our co-founders hosted a special event to launch Wistia Live, the newest addition to our complete video marketing platform. They also shared product updates from this past year, including our new editing feature and an exciting Zoom integration that’s coming soon.

So much has changed over the last few years in terms of the demand for video across the entire customer journey, so we’ve been listening and evolving along with you. Video consumption and use has grown significantly since the pandemic, with many businesses shifting to virtual events, remote meetings, and increased investment in digital channels. Video creation has also become more accessible with affordable tools like Zoom and Canva, and the amazing quality of smartphone cameras.

Video is no longer a “nice to have” for marketers. It’s now a staple of any brand’s marketing strategy. Wistia’s mission is to help every business thrive with video. So let’s take a look at how we’re doing just that!

New pricing plans

Earlier this year, we launched all new pricing for the Wistia platform, starting at $19/month, so businesses at any size or stage of video marketing can use Wistia. We also enhanced our plans with higher video limits, free automated transcripts, more bandwidth, and increased access to features like Channels and podcasting across all paid plans.

Also growing: Wistia’s team

We’ve invested heavily in our team this year — and we reached a huge milestone in our history when we brought our 200th Wistian on board! We’ve also doubled the size of our product and engineering teams to support our goals of helping marketers create, host, market, and analyze videos all within the Wistia platform.

We’ve also expanded our customer-facing teams in three important ways. We now have a team of onboarding specialists and customer success managers to help you get started and grow with the Wistia platform. We’ve also expanded live chat support to more customers so you’ll have experts at your fingertips when you need help or have questions about our platform or your video strategy.

What’s next from Wistia

Whew! We revealed a ton during our live event. So what’s next, you might wonder? Well, we’re continuing to invest in our product as a complete video marketing platform for marketers like you. We’ll be growing our team to support your video goals. And we’ll continue to evolve the content we’re creating, including more data-backed insights and reports like our Annual State of Video Report.

There’s a lot happening here at Wistia, but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to listening to our customers.
