Last October, we announced a new feature called Custom Audiences. As a quick refresher, this feature allows you to send Wistia viewer engagement data right to your Facebook Ads account so you can create hyper-focused ads. That’s right, you can actually target people based on how they interacted with content on your website, not just based on the data that Facebook itself provides.
Fast-forward to today, and we’re super excited to announce that we’ve made this feature even more powerful by adding a brand new integration with one of the world’s largest ad platforms — you guessed it — Google. Now called Reach & Retarget, this feature helps you tap into the massive scale of Facebook and Google, without having to host your videos there, which means maintaining control over your brand, video assets, and viewing experience.
With this new integration, it’s super easy to create personal and effective — instead of annoying — ads, to grow and engage your audience. Ready to learn how you can reach and retarget (get it?) your audience? Read on!

With our new Google integration, you connect your Wistia viewer data to your Google Analytics account so you can use this data to create audiences for Google Ads.
We redesigned our Promote page to make the process super simple. All you need to do is:
- Head to your Wistia Channel
- Click on “Promote”
- Open the “Integrations” tab and connect to Facebook, Google Analytics, or both!
Not sure which audiences to start targeting? For both our Facebook and Google integrations, you can enable a series of suggested audiences that allow you to segment your audience based on how they watched your videos. Whether you want to target viewers who have watched 50% of one video in your Channel and encourage them to dive back in or target a subscriber to let them know of a new series you’ve created, you can now do so seamlessly from your Wistia account. Plus, you don’t have to do any technical work to ensure your data is being sent to those platforms. Once both the Facebook Ads and Google Analytics integrations are connected, just click the button once to have your audience data pushed to both platforms!
