We’re back with another round of Wistia product updates! This month, we’ve improved every aspect of our video marketing platform — especially the tools that make video creation a breeze.
We’re thrilled to introduce our brand-new screen and webcam recorder and show you all the exciting updates we’ve made to our webinar feature, Wistia Live.
But wait, there’s more! We’ve amped up our podcast analytics, given you the ability to customize your media pages, and rolled out other updates. Let’s dive in and see what’s new.
With our new video recording feature, you can now easily create professional-looking videos right in Wistia. Say goodbye to the hassle of juggling complicated video recording and editing software and say hello to a much simpler user-friendly experience!
Record your webcam, screen, or both at the same time and seamlessly edit your recording without ever leaving the platform. Plus, with Wistia’s native editing tool, you can add branded bumpers, stitch clips together, and use smooth transitions to give your videos that extra professional touch.
Once you’re done editing, you can easily embed and share your recordings anywhere on your website or with anyone on the internet.
And the best part? Video recording and editing are available on all plans, including our free one! That’s right; you can now polish your videos to perfection without breaking the bank.
Remember when we launched Wistia Live in public beta last October? It was all about creating, hosting, and marketing your webinars in one convenient place.
Over the last few months, we’ve been continuously evolving our live event offering with new features to ensure that we’re delivering on our promise to you. We’re thrilled to announce that Wistia Live is now out of beta with more exciting updates:
In addition to syncing registration data, you can now seamlessly sync your event attendee data to HubSpot! Use that information to tailor your post-event follow-up, score leads, and notify your sales team for faster conversions.
Now you can engage with your audience in a more meaningful way. With new emoji reactions, you can instantly express your excitement, applause, or appreciation for your audience’s comments. 👍🎉👏 And as a host, you can now easily upload files and images right in the chat during your live event.
Say goodbye to waiting until the end of the event to answer questions or missing out on valuable input from your audience. The new question and answer (Q&A) function allows you to quickly and easily address questions as they come in and decide which questions to make visible to the rest of your audience so that they can follow along with the answers.
Since the launch of Wistia Live last year, we have introduced lots of new features to enhance your live event experience.
In case you missed it, you can now include additional fields on your event registration forms, add custom disclaimers to comply with GDPR, data privacy laws, and your own terms of service, and easily synchronize event registration details with your marketing automation platform. Plus, you can now embed your live events anywhere or simulcast it on your preferred social media platform using RTMP.
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and rock your next webinar with Wistia Live!
Now you’ve got the power to customize your media page to match your brand colors! That means you can share a more polished version of your media page with your audience. Plus, you have the option to enable or disable comments, media titles, and media descriptions on your landing pages.
We know how vital it is to track the success of your podcast episodes. That’s why we’ve made it easier for you to analyze your podcast performance at the episode level.
Once your podcast episode gets distributed to platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more, you can check out its analytics right in your Wistia account. This will give you valuable insights into how your episodes are doing and help you make better decisions for your podcast.
With our data API, you can now easily archive and restore your media in bulk, which means you’ll save even more space. Archiving allows you to declutter your library while still retaining access to the videos and their associated stats. This feature gives you greater control over your media library and allows you to keep it organized and optimized.
You can now collapse and expand all the named sections within a Wistia Channel just by selecting the caret symbol or the name of the section. This makes it super easy for your audience to quickly access videos while scrolling through the various sections of your channels.
Plus, all relevant media will still be shown if it matches an active search result, and you can expand or collapse sections as needed. The best part? This feature is available for all Channels and named sections with no need for any tweaks or updates.
Great news for Premium customers who are on a prepaid annual plan: You now have the option to purchase annual bandwidth allotments. This means you can pay for your bandwidth upfront and have the flexibility to use it throughout the year.
If you use up all your allotted bandwidth for the year before the billing period ends, you’ll be charged for extra bandwidth usage on a monthly basis at the rate specified in your subscription. This will continue until the end of the billing period unless you upgrade your bandwidth plan.
To opt into annual bandwidth, just reach out to your dedicated customer success manager or our support team).
And that’s a wrap for this month’s updates! We hope these new features will empower you to create beautifully engaging videos, connect with your audience on a more personal level, and manage your media library more efficiently. We’re constantly working on more goodies, so stay tuned for what’s cooking!
