Even in the thick of the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, we’re still cooking up a storm here at Wistia. This month, we served up a bunch of product updates that make creating videos, collecting leads, and hosting live events even easier.

A more customized Wistia Live experience
Your live events should be uniquely yours from start to finish, so we added some new customization options to Wistia Live:
Event images: Now you can brand your entire event in just one click. In your event overview, upload an image or pull one from Unsplash and it’ll show up on your registration page, in your emails, and on the screen before and after your event.
Registration page trailers: Love to make promo videos? Great news! You can now add a short trailer to your registration page.
Webcam backgrounds: Forget finding the perfect wall in your room. Just upload the perfect background! Yep, you can replace your drab webcam background with a fab custom image for your live events. You can even upload multiple images at once or choose from our library of Wistia-branded images.
Retroactive syncing of registrant data
We know piecing together registrants with your marketing automation platform can be a pain. But those days are over!
Now, when you connect your list to your Wistia registration form for the first time or when you switch to a new list, Wistia will retroactively sync any preexisting registrant data for the event to the new list.
This new capability works with HubSpot, Pardot, and Adobe Marketo Engage.
Transcript edits that stick
We made sure that any corrections made to your video transcript and some customizations (Chapters, Turnstile, Annotation Links, etc.) are preserved when you switch over to our video editor to polish up your video. No need to click any extra buttons — it’s done automatically.
Folder sharing in one click
You all asked for an easier way to share folders with your team. And guess what? Now there’s a shiny new “Share” button on your folder page that lets you do just that!
You can choose to share the folder with anyone in your Wistia account or anyone with the link. And you can decide whether they can view the videos or manage them.
